PROCRASTINATION IS FINALLY HERE!
(About time…)

Last month, we asked the community to vote on which user-submitted trait idea should be in the next content release from Doomlings. Jim Sklena’s entry, Procrastination, was the big winner. Justus and Jim have been hard at work, and we’re finally ready to reveal the card to you!

While these effects are not final, we’re already falling in love with this little guy. Plus, we managed to squeeze a nod to Jim into the flavor text. In true Procrastination form, we’ll have more details about how you can get this card…later. For now, make like the sloth and hang in there!

WE'RE HIRING

Do you love Doomlings? Would you like to join our team and conquer the End of the World? We’re hiring for two positions.

About the job:
Full time. A catastrophe aversionist is first and foremost a “utility player” to the partners, managing mid-sized projects, in service of broadening the reach of the brand. This is a role with opportunity for long-term growth within the company, and comes with a variety of unique responsibilities. From onboarding vendors, to solving supply-chain inefficiencies, to implementing timelines for our new product launches, no two days are ever the same. This role will present a charcuterie board of opportunities to find your long-term place within the Doomlings organization, as the company grows.

Our ideal candidate:
We’re looking for someone who prides themselves on being a creative problem solver and self-starter; a unique specimen who is able to think outside the box for solutions to present to the leadership team. This person enjoys an ever-changing environment and adapting to new challenges each day. This person is detail-oriented, a quick learner, and a natural note taker, able to anticipate the needs of the team. This person is also ideally a creative writer, who can take direction and formulate communication to our (very active) Doomlings community. If you think of yourself as a multi-faceted Jack or Jill of all trades, we want you to join the brigade!

How to apply:
Email your cover letter (optional) and resume with the subject line ‘CATASTROPHE AVERSIONIST’ to apply@doomlings.com or check out our full job description on our LinkedIn. At this time, we’re only hiring US applicants, and while LA is preferred, we are considering remote work.

About the job:
Part time (10-20 hrs/week). We’re looking to hire our first in-house content creator to help us expand the world of Doomlings on Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, and beyond. You’ll make videos that cover a variety of topics, from how to play the game, to clarifying rules and specific card interactions, as well as revealing our latest product designs. You’ll create other engaging content as well, such as photos, GIFs, memes, and sketch comedy videos. As a game founded by filmmakers, we’re incredibly excited to finally announce this position!

Our ideal candidate:
We’re looking for a self-starter who thrives off a creative environment. This person is passionate about board games, loves to make fun TikTok videos, and wants to be the face of Doomlings. If you see yourself as an amateur filmmaker, love spending time on social media, and enjoy managing your own schedule, we have a place for you on the team!

How to apply:
Email your cover letter (optional) and resume with the subject line ‘CONTENT CREATOR’ to apply@doomlings.com. At this time, we’re only hiring US applicants.

While we are 96% complete with fulfillment, there are still issues we are attempting to resolve with our fulfillment partners, particularly in Asia. We value each and every backer’s belief in our vision, and do not take your contributions to Doomlings lightly.

If you are a preorder customer or Kickstarter backer still waiting for your tracking number, thank you for your patience, and our apologies again for the delay. If you are in Australia, Japan, South Korea, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore or Thailand, your order is on its way to a shipping hub in your country. You can see the list at http://vfi.asia/hubs/. You should receive a tracking number once it leaves the hub. Aetherworks has started reaching out to Australian backers to confirm they are handling fulfillment in the region. Our apologies to those who received conflicting information from them previously. If you were contacted about fixing your shipping address and haven’t received a tracking number, or if you have any other questions or concerns, please email us at info@doomlings.com. We will not rest until you have your game!

THANK YOU!

Our team is growing, there is new content on the horizon, and all the while, our game finds its way onto new tables every day. We’ll have even more exciting updates in the weeks to come, but for now, as always, thank you for believing in us. We’re thrilled to take the next steps ahead on our journey, and we couldn’t do it without your support.

With Love,

Justus, Andrew, Eric & Chris
